30 Days of Thanks – Day 30: Only the beginning

As I start this 30th day, I am already thankful for what it will bring:

  1. Meetings with great clients
  2. A work session with my new VA Partner

This past weekend, I’ve been thankful for the mending and sewing class I took in High School a long time ago. It allows me to hem my pants that I ALWAYS have to shorten because I’m so short. :-)   Hand sewing allows me to calm myself and literally quiets my working Virtual Assistant voice.

I’ve also been thankful for my resilience. While some people tend to dwell on a situation that did not turn out well, I bounce back rapidly. Oh, I admit I do express my emotions. I just don’t stay in that energy for long.

Everytime I fall, I get back up, dust myself off and continue.

I am thankful for a great lesson learned a long time ago: we always have the choice to be happy or crappy. I choose to be happy… most of the time. :-)

Thank you to Stacy and Heather from 30daysofthanks.com for this terrific project. I look forward to the 31 days of December.

30 Days of Thanks – Day 27: 2 weeks of thanks

Wow! Time does fly when you have fun.

These two weeks have been quite busy and although I did not take time to write a post about it, there was something or someone to be thankful for every single day.

  • The French VA network, RPSAV, and its members
  • The great service I always get at my favorite little Thai restaurant, Prasat Thai
  • Fridays, my day to work ON my business
  • The possibility to correct situations that I don’t like
  • Time in Gracefield Quebec, about an hour from the city where I can go and just BE.
  • Maple fudge from Wakefield Confectionery
  • Hikes in the woods on a sunny Fall day
  • Listening to the brook near our cottage
  • Dinner at any restaurant with Mario
  • Long talks with Mario about new projects
  • Opportunities
  • New ideas
  • The hability to choose who I want to work with, client or VA partner
  • My spacious home office
  • The pink boa hanging on a mirror near my office door as a reminder that although being an entrepreneur is serious business, I don’t have to take MYSELF too seriously.

I wish all my American friends a great Thanksgiving weekend.

30 Days of Thanks – Day 12: A Fabulous Post

Today, I am thankful for this fabulous Seth Godin post that was tweeted by my colleague  Erin Blaskie.  So, that makes me thankful for Erin too. :-)

I think this post is perfectly aligned with the purpose of this series. By focusing on what is fabulous in our lives, we will attract and / or create more fabulous.

I missed a few days posting so here is a recap of what I was thankful for these past few days:

Day 8 : Thankful for being bilingual. It means more books to read, more sites to visit and more connections to make.

Day 9: Thankful for an empty email Inbox. For each message: I do it if it takes less than 2 minutes, Delay it in an Action file, File it in a Reading file or Dump it.

Day 10: Thankful for my network. It made me look good with a potential client when I could refer a friend who seems to fit perfectly in his business.

Day 11: Remembrance Day. Thankful for those who fought for Freedom. Thankful for my sister and brother-in-law who are in the Canadian Armed Forces and are still around.

Now, your turn. What is fabulous in your life? Share it in a post and come back to comment and give us the link.
